SOLA: promote innovative companies across the Atlantic

The rector of the USC, Juan Viaño, the President of RedEmprendia, Senen Barro, and the mayor of Santiago de Compostela, Martiño Noriega, were responsible for opening the first meeting of SOLA (Spin-Off Lean Acceleration) project which aims to strengthen capabilities of universities to accelerate spin-off and start-ups based on knowledge, in order to put in value the R & D of university research groups.

SOLA is an international project funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union led by RedEmprendia and backed by Banco Santander, through Santander Universities. In the project consortium two Spanish universities-the University of Madrid and the University of Santiago de Compostela, the University of Porto (Portugal), the Universita della Calabria (Italy) and the European consultancy Devalar. From Latin America -the two Brazilian universities Universidade Estadual de Campinas and São Paulo University and two Colombian, the University of Antioquia and the Universidad EAFIT are present.
