Last May 24, the launch conference of the Interreg Atlantic Area 2020 Programme was held in Oporto. Ms. Guirao, Secretary General of the CAAC and member of the Monitoring Committee of the programme, represented the Atlantic local authorities.
There was a debate on the importance of collaboration in political decision-making in development. Territorial cooperation is one of the pillars that define the work of the CAAC, as defined in chapter five of the Atlantic Charter of San Sebastian.
In addition to facilitating the recruitment of partners for our member projects, in this call, the CAAC has helped searching for projects for our cities. On the other hand, the Conference held a pre-assessment of eligibility for its members.
The session ended with four parallel working sessions devoted to the priorities of the programme.
