Yesterday was held in Dublin the 3rd Annual Conference of the Atlantic Platform Stakeholder conference was centered on “Promoting Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Atlantic space.”
This meeting allows each year to stakeholders to establish contacts and explore new areas of cooperation. Atlantic Cities were represented by Mr José Maria Costa, President, Ms Sylvie Guerry Gazeau, vice-president and Ms. Tamara Guirao, secretary- general.
The members of the CAAC took part in two workshops. One about the actions to address the lack of expertise in the Maritime sector and the other on the management of harbor’ entries on the coastal areas.
The Commissioner for Maritime Policy Mr Karmenu Vella also handed over the Atlantic Awards in four projects led by the Atlantic actors. Atlantic Blue Tech, project supported by the CAAC, is one of them.
The end of the conference was marked by the award of the “Atlantic City 2017” given to the city of Las Palmas. After an intervention on the role of local authorities in the Atlantic Maritime Strategy, the award was presented by Mr. José Maria Costa alongside Mr. Jerry Lundy, Irish member of the Committee of Regions.
