Las Palmas connected with the MetroGuaGua

Through the « Juncker Plan », Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Atlantic City 2017, obtained a 50 M€ loan from the European Investment Bank for its new transport infrastructure.

This project, MetroGuagua, will allow improving the collective transport of passengers via bus and connecting between the north and south districts of the city.

In this regard, the mayor of the capital of the Canaries, Augusto Hidalgo, declared that “it is a project created with the objective to be economically viable and compatible with the current planning, and that will contribute to enhance the quality of the urban space”.
