The Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities was created with the aim of developing a space of solidarity and projects among the local entities of the Atlantic Arc.
The Atlantic Arc Cities held their General Assembly on April 29th in Viana do Castelo.
This event on “An Atlantic and urban view of the future of Europe” has helped the Atlantic cities to express their views and share experiences on the subject. Indeed, the Atlantic cities agreed and committed to the future of Europe through the final Declaration of the General Assembly on April 29, 2017.
This European and Atlantic political commitment addresses the themes of: Cooperation between each side of the Atlantic Ocean, Culture and citizenship, Urban and port regeneration, Brexit and subsidiarity principle
The final Declaration for the future of Europe will be sent to the European institutions and to both sides of the Atlantic region and local entities.
