On April 12 and 13, the city of Lugo hosted the Atlantic Brainstorming: Creativity & Jobs, the first open and international meeting of the Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs project, co-funded by Interreg Atlantic Area, and of which the Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities is a partner.
Young people from the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Portugal participated in workshops, brainstormings and exchanges with experts from the entrepreneurship and creative businesses. Among the topics of the workshops there were: product design, how to become a youtuber, fashion design, 2D / 3D, audiovisual creation with mobile and business model.
The main objective of the event, organized by Vida Láctea, was to create prototypes of products and services that respond to one of the growing social challenges of our time: plastic pollution in our oceans. Therefore, the event closed with a contest in which each team presented their project. The jury scored them assessing the idea itself, creativity, design, marketability, sustainability and presentation.
In addition, the citizens of Lugo were able to participate in the event by attending conferences which were open to the public, in which different professionals from the creative business sector and the environment talked about their projects.
