She for Sea has been invited to hold a workshop in the 11th edition of the “Sea Tech Week” event that takes place in Brest from 8th to 12th October 2018. “Sea Tech Week” attracts thousands of participants, researchers, and entrepreneurs. It is a unique opportunity to develop business relationships and scientific collaborations.
She for Sea will also be presented at the I International Conference of Women in Fisheries, which will be held from 5th to 7th November in Santiago de Compostela.
June 8 is the World Oceans Day and She for Sea hopes to participate in the “Les Elles de l’Ocean” event. It aims to promote the place of women in the maritime sector companies and to publicize the opportunities and issues related to the feminization of trades.
The project also works to be present at the V “Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference”, from 23rd to 24th October in Vigo. This year it will focus on actions to boost youth employment, male and female, in the maritime sector and will bring together political leaders, maritime clusters, companies, academic institutions and investors from all over the Atlantic coast.
All these events give She for Sea the opportunity to contribute with their vision, defend the role of women in the maritime sector and demonstrate how women are adopting careers in fisheries, marine biology, blue biotechnologies and creative industries inspired by the sea.
