Brest Métropole Océane is leading the CAAC Thematic Commission on Blue and Green Growth, with an aim to reinforce the engagement with the urban environmental excellence, innovative economic growth and social policy. These were also the winning arguments that got Brest Métropole Oceane chosen as the Atlantic City of the Year 2014.
Inside the Atlantic Stakeholder Platform event, next January 20, the Technopole Brest-Iroise, project coordinator of Interreg IVB Atlantic Area – Atlantic Blue Tech, will organize in Porto, a workshop entitled “Recommendations to Overcome Barriers for SME development in the Atlantic marine biotechnology sector “.
Co-financed by ERDF, Atlantic BlueTech has gained substantial insight of the Barriers and drivers to the development of the marine biotechnology sector through anarticulate survey of circa 60 SME companies in the Atlantic Area. Informed by these results, the workshop ABT Will discuss, refine and validate a series of recommendations to supporting the growth of this micro-medium entrepreneurial landscape, aimed at both entrepreneurs and public agencies with a stake in the delivery of a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in the Atlantic Arc.
