Every year, the Atlantic Watersports Games highlight the maritime assets and water areas of the European Atlantic Area. Since its inception in Brittany in 1995, the objective of the Atlantic Watersports Games is to gather each year in a different city, for a week of sailing competitions, delegations of young athletes from all regions of Atlantic Europe. This year, from July 15 to 19, 155 girls and 251 boys will compete on the waters of Viana do Castelo (North Portugal)

This competition, whose level continues to rise, is the only international sporting event involving young hopes and the best elements of water sports federations: Boating / surf / kayaking / rowing / surf lifesaving / kite surfing / swimming with fins / Stand Up Paddle / swimming in open water.

As the showcase of nautism in the Atlantic Area, the “Watersports” have the ambition to illustrate and promote this particular seamanship of our regions, while fostering the emergence of new exchanges between our peoples.
