On November 17th the European Commission gathered in Brussels the Group of Experts on partnership in the Structural and investment Funds. Tamara Guirao, coordinator of the Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities and member of this group, participated to explain the vision of the Atlantic cities, emphasizing the need to translate the principle of partnership and the European code of conduct for INTERREG programs. Other topics discussed were the responses from the structural funds to the refugee crisis, climate change, environment and equal opportunities.

The coordinator also exchanged with the Commission services on the future of urban funds, especially innovative urban actions whose call has just opened yesterday. This call is for greenfield projects, as it is proposed to co-finance experimentation. Identified topics are:

– Energy Transition
