October 18th is the Women’s Enterprise Day. To honor all these women, the city of Cork is helping to organize events throughout the country, which is expected to attract more than 1,000 female entrepreneurs.

This initiative is led by 31 local business offices across the country and is funded by the government of Ireland, along with “Enterprise Ireland” and local authorities. The offices of the local company have organized a program of events under the theme “from local to global”. These seek to inspire the next generation of female business leaders to take their ideas and turn them into global success.

In 2017, the Local Enterprise Offices played a key role in supporting female entrepreneurs across the country to start and grow their businesses. In 2017, more than 18,500 women entrepreneurs participated in training programs, tutoring and networking with their Local Enterprise Office.
