Last February 12th, ATBRAND partners met in Dublin so as to kick off this INTERREG Atlantic Area Initiative on city branding.  This project is co-funded by ERDF.

The meeting was hosted by Dublin City Council, Lead Partner of the project, and, in the opening words, Peter Finnegan, Director Office of Economy & International Relations, described how the Irish narrative was built upon the times.

After a thorough review of the procedures concerning the Atlantic Area programme, partners  (Dublin, Liverpool, Cardiff, San Sebastian, La Rochelle and Faro) presented their own strategies concerning the creation of brands in their cities, so as to start brainstorming and sharing knowledge.  These presentations will be soon available.

CAAC is in charge of the “atlantisation”, ensuring the transnational dimension of the project and its alignment with the aims of the Atlantic Arc. This Atlantic Urban Forum will also carry out the communication activities.
