Awards in the competition for Contracts and Projects Smart City 2014, organized by the Sociedad de la Información magazine, have been delivered at the end of March.
A Coruña, currently presiding the Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities (CAAC), has been one of the cities awarded, in the category of Integrated Management, which supports the commitment and the investment of the municipal government in new technologies.
The initiative, Coruña Smart City, is the sum of a horizontal technology platform capable of integrating data from multiple sources and a set of pilots covering different areas of management of the city. The data collected will have different origins: municipal data, deployed sensors, existing systems and other contributions by the inhabitants. Coruña Smart City thus forms the brain of the city, processing and ordering data for different applications, managers, businesses and citizens.
Similarly, Santander, CAAC member, has received a recognition for its strategy of Urban Mobility.
