Gijón, Vice President of the CAAC, celebrates the third edition of the Festival Arcu Atlanticu, a festival that combines tradition and modernity, cultural heritage and creative innovation.
A vast cultural program, in which every year a region or a country of Atlantic Europe is the centre of a particular attention, is expected. 2014 is placed under the sign of Irish culture with Cork, thus honouring two founding members of the Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities. The Festival Arcu Atlanticu also counts on involvement and active participation of other municipalities of Asturias. Cabrales, Cangas de Onís, Nava, Ribadesella, Siero and Villaviciosa will present the key initiatives of their municipalities in terms of culture, economic development and tourism.
It is a festival for all ages, with a program dedicated to youngsters in the Arc Space for Children. The stages and the tents of the Festival will be installed around the Puerto Deportivo. Other cultural facilities of the city will be added.
