On the 7th and 8th of April 2014, the Working Group on Tourism and Culture of Atlantic Arc Commission met at the Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura in Gijon (Spain).
Numerous Atlantic stakeholders took this opportunity to share their different experiences on regional cooperation and mention a variety of projects dealing with tourism as a factor of economic competitiveness. The publication of new proposals has been announced for next June and a forum named Crossroads of Europe will be celebrated in Ferrol (Spain) from 17th to 20th June 2014.
On behalf of the Atlantic Arc Cities, Stéphane Ridou presented the recently launched ATBRAND project, whose final objective is to increase the attractivity of the Atlantic cities and reinforce their own qualities for a sustainable development.
After two days of active participation, the represented members all agreed on the necessity to develop the concept of branding the Atlantic cities.
