As part of the European project START, funded by the Transnational Cooperation Programme ‘Atlantic Area’, 13 partners from the United Kingdom, France (including the Urban Community of La Rochelle, Regions of Brittany and Normandy), Spain and Portugal have committed to improve the accessibility of their territory and intermodality. They developed a common brand “INTEGRA”, which aims to be a landmark for the transnational traveller on route.
This project offers the possibility to the traveller, via a multimodal and multilingual information portal, to prepare his trip within the regions of the Atlantic Area and soon throughout Europe (www.integra-travel.eu) and so to be informed upstream on local transport services.
Integra aims to make it easy to travel using collective transport to and between the cities of the Atlantic Area and beyond. The Integra portal describes the modes of transport available to visitors once arrived at their destination; on spot, they will find easily collective transport information.
This project also gives the opportunity to travellers to be more environmentally friendly and to transport authorities to improve their cooperation. (Brochure Enclosed)
