Yesterday June 18th, CECICN members met at the premises of the Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière (MOT) in Paris. CAAC was represented by its coordinator, Ms. Tamara Guirao.
This meeting served to enhance the platform of city networks and its action, as the following decisions were taken:
- Discussion and approval of the Statutes, the brief on Key issues 2013, the Strategy 2013/2014 and the Communication Strategy.
- The admission as members of: the Danube Network (CoDCR), CESCI and City Twins
- A more active cooperation with the Committee of the regions
- The publication of a document on the role of cities in Macro-Regions
The meeting also counted on an interesting presentation of CESCI, and an analysis of the lobby strategy, namely the results of the meetings with the presidency of the Committee of the Regions and the European Parliament, DG REGIO and DG MARKET.
