EURE project partners visiting Brest Metropole Plan Climat best practices

On 19th and 20th November, EURE project partners have met in Brest (France) in the framework of a Study Visit aimed at shown how the Plan Climat of Brest Metropole is being developed at local level. Therefore, EURE project aims to improve local policies instruments for a better monitoring and management of sparsely populated urban areas environment.

To promote an integrated urban agenda is key for territories sustainable development. Therefore, the case of Brest Metropole represents a best practice on how to boost sustainable development in urban areas by developing renewable energies and energy efficiency systems.

During the Study Visit EURE project partners have visited energy efficiency buildings such as the Capucins and the Recouvrance neighbourhood an example on rebuilding houses towards energy efficiency models. Moreover, they have also visited the Port of Brest project addressed to develop Offshore wind power and the dynamics of innovation of Brest Technopole.
