The OECD analyzes and compares the data collected in 35 of its member countries to help them improve their government policies and ensure their economic well-being.
It organized in Antwerp a forum on local development – the right tools, the right jobs, the right places – which brought together more than 300 local development professionals, entrepreneurs and social innovators.
Thus, José Maria Costa, mayor of Viana do Castelo, explained in a panel the means implemented for the city to attract investments, as well as the programs in which the city participates in order to bring in new talents.
To do this, the city is counting on projects allowing cooperation between training institutions, companies, and municipal administration. By bringing these different actors together, Viana do Castelo hopes to be attractive enough to attract qualified young people.
