The network is conceived as a basket of common ressourcs, thus facilitating the identification of joint initiatives and supporting the EU bidding process since its creation. For instance, during the first call for proposals of the Interreg V Atlantic Area Programme in 2016, the Atlantic urban network managed and supported the drafting of around thirty projects of their members, with a succes rate of 33% in the first phase (general was 25%) for a call with more than 400 proposals.
