The concept of boundary between the port and the city has changed over the years, not being even for the same time, a unique concept.
From a strict limit to a shared interface, we can find a wide spectrum of realities which, depending on the activities and historical times, have remained unchanged. The aim is to analyze those different aspects that are relevant to materialize this border, as well as trying to define conceptually a sustainable reality in the time. We study the case of the port of La Coruña, an enclosed port in the city, that as a result of this conflict with it, is actually in a very broad transformation process.
