After three years, the POST project on Polycentric and Sustainable Tourism is coming to an end. Atlantic Cities, together with Grand Cognac, is organising the final conference and open congress “Sustainable Tourism Models for New Realities”, which will take place on 4 November 2026 at the Château de Bouteville, near Cognac in France.
Organised in the framework of the POST (Polycentric Sustainable Tourism) project, co-funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, it will bring together tourism stakeholders from France, Portugal, Spain and Ireland. The conference will explore how tourism destinations can adapt to new realities and develop more balanced and resilient tourism models, drawing on experiences from coastal and inland territories.
Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Exchange on the current and future challenges facing tourism destinations;
- Discover experiences and good practices from across the Atlantic Area;
- Discover the main results and insights generated by the POST project;
- Network and exchange with European tourism stakeholders, policymakers, practitioners and experts.
