The Atlantic Regional Initiative, led by the European Space Agency, and of which the Atlantic Cities network is part as an expert, has published a call for tenders in order to address topics such as the blue economy, renewable energies and Atlantic cities and their ports.
Atlantic Cities has also contributed to the creation of this initiative from its origins.
The objective of this call is to create applications to improve and integrate existing regional monitoring and evaluation frameworks in cooperation with key actors at the international, national and regional levels. The themes are:
- Blue economy: Innovation Clusters, Atlantic Natural Resources Management and Maritime Spatial Planning
- Renewable Energy: Offshore Wind
- Atlantic cities: Smart, Sustainable and Secure Ports and Protecting the Ocean
As the themes chosen by the European Space Agency demonstrate, the Atlantic cities and their network will be beneficiaries of the results of this call.
