The Atlantic Strategy was born in 2011 after two intense years of lobbying by the Atlantic Cities at a regional, national and European level. Thus, Atlantic Cities is a leading expert in the European working group of the Atlantic Maritime Strategy.
This strategy is the maritime pillar of the Europe 2020 agenda promoting territorial cohesion that takes into account the international dimension, covering the coasts, territorial and jurisdictional waters of the EU Member States with an Atlantic coastline– France, Ireland, Portugal and Spain , as well as international waters.
The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) has launched a Call for tenders concerning the Assistance Mechanisms for the Atlantic Action Plan, that is part of the Atlantic Maritime Strategy. It aims to support the implementation of the recently revised Plan through a full set of tasks that go from management, coordination and reporting, to communication and project monitoring.
Participation in this procurement procedure is open on equal terms to all natural and legal persons coming within the scope of the Treaties, as well as to international organizations.
